The first graders at General Greene Elementary, in Greensboro NC, collected hats for Brenner children’s hospital as part of their service learning project. They made posters, power points and talked to other students. The entire school participated and they have collected 125 hats and counting.  The hats will be delivered by Hope and her mom (a first grade teacher).  Hope is a leukemia survivor. She was diagnosed when she was 2.  I am happy to say that Hope  is now  a  healthy 7 yr old first grader!
