On Saturday, September 6, the DePalma and Fraser families turned their annual Down to Fundraise event into something truly special for Ellie’s Hats.

What began as a fun backyard gathering among neighbors has grown into one of the most spirited community events we’ve ever been part of. With over 300 people in attendance, the night included live music, food trucks, inflatable games, a bourbon tasting, and a whole lot of heart.

Thanks to the hard work of the DTF crew—and the generosity of everyone who donated, sponsored, bought shirts, or simply showed up—we’re thrilled to share that the event raised $39,000 in support of Ellie’s Hats.

These funds will directly impact the lives of children battling cancer. From sending thoughtful care packages that lift spirits during treatment, to providing financial assistance that eases the burden on families, your support helps us continue our mission of showing up for these kids in meaningful ways.

I want to personally thank Joe DePalma, John Fraser, and everyone involved in organizing this incredible event. And to every person who contributed—thank you. You helped make a real difference.

It’s amazing to see how a simple idea can grow into something that brings people together and creates real change. We’re so grateful to be a part of it.
